Dear West Virginia University Family:
Our shared experiences weave us into the gold-and-blue fabric that is West Virginia
University.
Some of these are no-brainers, like singing “Country Roads” to cap off a momentous
athletic victory or taking a selfie with yours truly.
But there is nothing quite as enchanting as the holidays at West Virginia University,
when all are reminded of a special kinship that warms the icy air.
This year we are celebrating the season by telling that story through a series
of animated vignettes called, “You Know it's Winter at WVU when ...”
From
using anything not nailed down as a sled to
appreciating the benefits of all-wheel drive, Mountaineers of all ages can
easily place themselves into any of these situations captured.
So, as we head into the holidays, let us take a moment to reflect on those experiences
that bring us together —
even those that involve shivering.
From all of us at West Virginia University, we wish you a merry and blessed holiday
season.
E. Gordon Gee
President, West Virginia University
